Detailed Product Description Required for Purposes of Contraventions C223 and C224 for the CITT Injury Finding dated December 11, 1992 (renewed December 10, 1997, December 9, 2002 and December 10, 2007) for bicycles originating in or exported from Taiwan and China.
Subject goods should be described on the invoice submitted to the CBSA by model name and/or number and any non-subject bicycles should be clearly identified. To ensure the proper assessment on the imported subject goods and to avoid anti dumping duties being calculated incorrectly by an advance on the export price, the following outlines the minimum information required for presentation to the CBSA at the time the goods are accounted for.
Clearly indicate if the imported goods are tricycles, unicycles, folding bikes, trail-a-bikes, tandem bikes, or bicycles with wheel sizes of 12 and 14 inches.
*If normal values for a specific exporter are established by model name only, then only the model name is required on customs documentation. Likewise, if normal values are established by model number only, then only the model number is required. However, if normal values are established using both the model name and model number, or any other attribute, such as the colour, then all of this information is required on the customs documentation. You may need to contact your exporter to verify how the normal values are established.
