Five travel tips to facilitate your return to Canada

Ottawa, Ontario, July 30, 2010 – The long weekend is upon us - to facilitate your return to Canada, the CBSA offers you the following tips:

• Have proper identification for yourself and children travelling with you.
• Declare all purchases made and have your receipts readily available.
• Know your personal exemptions and your alcohol and tobacco limits.
• Plan your return to Canada and check border wait times on the CBSA website at: www.cbsa.gc.ca. Border wait times are now available on Twitter at: www.twitter.com/CBSA_BWT.
• Inform yourself prior to leaving Canada as some purchases are not admissible.
