Immigration and Refugee Protection Act And Regulations

Pursuant to subsection 9(1) of the Canada Border Services Agency Act ¹I, Alain Jolicoeur, repeal the Instruments of Designation and Delegation made on June 9, 2006, and hereby authorize

1. the Executive Vice-president and any Vice-president of the Canada Border Services Agency or in his or her absence, the  person carrying out his or her duties and functions to do anything that may be done by me and that is described in column 3 of an item of the Schedule to the Instrument  in relation to any provision of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act² and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations set out in column 2 of that item;
2. any person whose position is set out in column 4 of an item of the Schedule to do anything that may be done by me and that is described in column 3 of the item in relation to any provision of the Act and Regulations set out in column 2 of that item or, in his or her absence, the person carrying out the duties or functions of the person who is absent; and
3. any person to do anything that may be done by me and that is described in column 3 of an item in relation to any provision of the Act set out in column 2 of the item, where the person is
   1. an officer or employee of the Canada Border Services Agency that has direct or indirect supervisory responsibility for a person whose position is set out in column 4 of that item; and
   2. an officer of the Citizenship and Immigration Canada that has direct supervisory responsibility for a person whose position is set out in column 4 of that item.

Pursuant to section 9(3) of the Canada Border Services Agency Act, I hereby designate as officers to carry out any purpose of any provision of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act set out in column 2 of an item to carry out the powers and duties specified in column 3 of the item to

1. the Executive Vice-president and any Vice-president of the Canada Border Services Agency or in his or her absence, the  person carrying out his or her duties and functions to do anything that may be done by me and that is described in column 3 of an item of the Schedule to the Instrument  in relation to any provision of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act  and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations set out in column 2 of that item;
2. any person whose position is set out in column 4 of an item of the Schedule to do anything that may be done by me and that is described in column 3 of the item in relation to any provision of the Act and Regulations set out in column 2 of that item or, in his or her absence, the person carrying out the duties or functions of the person who is absent; and
3. any person to do anything that may be done by me and that is described in column 3 of an item in relation to any provision of the Act set out in column 2 of the item, where the person is
   1. an officer or employee of the Canada Border Services Agency that has direct or indirect supervisory responsibility for a person whose position is set out in column 4 of that item; and
   2. an officer of the Citizenship and Immigration Canada that has direct supervisory responsibility for a person whose position is set out in column 4 of that item.
